the ever so wonderful place
Yes! I'm feeling high from the Pulau Ubin Orienteering Trip.
The morning was gorgeous. Couldn't stop smiling again when I set my foot on the wonderful island. The weather was gorgeous (somehow I find this phrase familiar..hmm). There were slight thunders and not-so-dark clouds looming above us and yet, it was not raining. So I got all the breeze and wind while walking in the ever so green undergrowth. Mosquitos were friendly. They didn't bite me at all. I enjoyed the entire journey thoroughly, walking from the West of the island to the East.
Ubin Quarry was b..e..a..u..t..i..f..u..l! Lu and I happened to be in the same group (because Lu needs a dog-protector and I need a navigator), we were taking pictures with the nice nice scenery. Really awesome scenery and you can never find this in the mainland.
Due to the really long walk, most of the time we weren't talking. My mind was so peaceful that I didn't want to think of anything. Taking in fresh oxygen from trees around me, listening to the crickets singing coherently, walking through the breeze that was coming towards me, bathing in the sweat that soaked my shirt. A hike had never been better. All thanks to the weather. The best part was, it only started raining when we finished the entire hike. The strong wind dried my sweaty body and it was refreshing.
I have the sudden urge to mount on the bike and explore the entire place again on my own. Just myself on the wonderful island. Just depending on my own determination to fight against the steep slopes. No maps, no compasses. Just depending on my own gut.
I'm starting to enjoy Diana's accompany. Just me and myself. It's not bad after all.
I hope my plan can be feasible. The pictures:

Happy birthday, dad. (:
