it has been a long time since...

..I felt family warmth.

I grown up in a complete family with members finding difficulty in expressing their love and concern for one another. Stubbornness runs in the family and it often triggers quarrels and arguments. I do agree that it is part and parcel in domestic relationships. Being a typical cancerian, what I really yearn most is a harmonious and happy family.

I can't remember when was the last time we sat down and had a good meal together or when was the last time we had family outing. But I'll definitely remember that today was a good start for a change. My close friends should have known that I'm not exactly the sweetest and most thoughtful girlfriend, probably because my parents ain't the sweetest and most loving couple around. However, with all my siblings grown up, we were cheeky enough to make our parents take photos like a couple, with roses, and all sort of things to re-ignite the love that should have been there. I felt really happy about that.

Seeing my dad rushed to help my mum up from her fall, chiding me for laughing at my mum, getting worried over her bruises - that really made me happy somehow. I really love my family. Although at times I may appear nonchalent about family bonding and all, I actually care a lot, a lot about them. The outing to Sentosa today was definitely a good start for a change. I hope, really hope, that I will not have to wait too long for a next one. =)

Here comes a detailed version of my day:
Relunctantly woke up early for my auction work today. On the account of $100, I dragged my weary feet to Hotel Royal. Everything went well. Unlike the past few auctions, this one went really smoothly this time. Of course, with ketam entertaining me made time pass faster as well.

After the knock-off, met the rest of my family at Outram Park Station to head to Sentosa to give my sister, who's working at Delifrance, a surprise visit. The crowd was not too bad. Probably a quarter of the people went off to Orchard for Chingay Parade, another quarter stayed at home to watch the parade. Haha! I love you, sis! For specially making that veggie-cheesy baked potato especially for me. Yes, yes.. I was rather mean, but hey! It was fun, who cares? Wahahaha!

And guess what... I guess I really got "yuan" with this person lor! And this person is..... VALERIE!! Met her several times in Tampines, City Hall... Now I've even met her in Sentosa! How's that?? Hahaha. Guess I was over-excited but it was really happy to see her. =)

That was not all.....

After a while, I even met my group of projects team from SNEF and it was... awkward to see them outside office. Haha! Joined them for phototaking and yep, really happy to see them too!

I'm feeling really happy and sorry for the excessive usage of the word "happy" because I'm really HAPPY! Hahaha.

Thanks for always giving me directions, for always telling me the right thing to do, for always being there for me, for everything~
