Pride. I saw a man with backbone and pride today. He's a blind man selling tissue paper. Panda handed me a dollar coin to donate to the man. Donate meaning give the man the money without taking the tissue packets. I felt that it was not right not because I'm stingy or what, probably because I'm a prideful person too. I went over to the blind man and dropped the coin in a yellow plastic container which he hanged over his neck. I was about to walk away when the blind man said:"How much money did you drop?" I hesitated for awhile. And decided to be honest and said:"A dollar." He promptly gave me 3 packets of tissue.

I could have ignored him and walk away. But I took the tissue packets. Panda asked why I took them. Yah, the blind man could have sold the 3 packets of tissue to earn more money. Pride. The man could have stood there and rant to the passers-by how poor thing he is and beg for money. But instead, he is well-dressed and sell to earn a living. The key thing is he earns a living. Even though he is visually challenged, he depends on himself. To stand for such long hours, in such hot weather is not easy.

There are people who has everything. But yet they don't cherish.
There are people who lost things they once had. Then they learnt to cherish.
