Our Lil Camp

I've got tons and tons of things to say! Ok, finally here comes our lil camp. Wad a BAD day! First i met up with zy to buy satays in aljunied and then make our way to sheng siong to do some last minute shopping. Then, suddenly it started raining heavily! We were drenched all the way but never mind.. we thot that after that rain, probably it won't rain again. but we were terribly wrong.

Then we went home to bathe and prepare for our lil camp. and we met up promptly and make our way to east coast park. when we reached parkway parade, actually none of us know how to get to the underpass which links to ecp. so we just instinctively feel our way to the underpass and we manage to find it!

So we finally reached ecp and here comes the wet part. we found a good spot in Area C as stated in the national park website that only Area C and D are allowed for camping on weekdays. So we settled and trying to figure out how to pitch that tent.

La la la, it started raining soooo heavily that all of us got very very very drenched. Very! From head to toe, inside out. so we quickly pitch up our tent and took shelter inside. omg, gallons of water flooded into our tent and there are BIG PUDDLES of rain water in our tent. luckily i brought a face towel that can use to dry up the tent. We cant even sit in the tent but luckily this tent of mine is tall and wide.. so we can actually stand up in the tent. so we just stood there and ate some sotong balls with our grassy fingers. we were all covered with grass la!

and so finally the rain stops. so the guys went to fairprice to buy charcoal and firestarter and i stayed in the tent to clean up. i was practically using the towel to soak up the water and wringe it. repeated that over and over again and finally our tent is a bit more clean and damp. so while waiting, some park rangers came over and tell me that we're not suppose to pitch a tent there. only area C4 is allowed. omg.. so when the guys came back, we unpitched the whole tent and make our way further down to the camping area. hmm, our meticulous guys actually bought towels so we can bathe and dry ourselves us in the shower room.

so we found a spot near the mac and toilet. surprisingly its not so crowded so we settled down to pitch the tent and set up the bbq pit. so i went to wash up while jj and zy set up the fire. and when i returned, i bbq the chicken and satays while they go and wash up. everything is jus so synchronized. had some fun time bbqing right in front of the sea. quite a nice view there. after bbqing half of the food, the charcoal oso cannot tahan already. so we sat in our tent and start eating. thanks to my mum's greatly marinated chicken, it jus tastes so delicious. and the unburnt satays. w-o-w, wow.

after eating, we played poker and blabbered lots of nonsense-as usual. so we played till 2 am and had a second round of bbqing to finish off the food. thanks to our bbq king-zy!! took in lots of poisonous gas, poor thing. then we stuff the food into our stomach and start packing to sleep. by the time we finish everything, it's already 4am in the morning when we turn in. our very vigilant and alert jj slept close to the entrance, the dead log zy in the middle then the mozzie's food me in the other end. i had 5 bites!! argh, the insect repellent doesnt seem to work.. luckily we have jj around, he is very very vigilant even when he sleeps. so he is keeping a lookout for us while we can have a good sleep.

so we din manage to catch the sun rise because the sky was too cloudy. we woke at around 630 and started packing up. ecp is full of morning activities. quite a nice sight. so we faster pack up, took a cab home and had a really really goood sleeeeeep.

wad a nice time spent with the 2 of u. i will remember this forever and i feel blessed, to have frens like u all. i feel really really fortunate.
