randomness (:
I guess I haven't update for quite some time. That's because I was awfully busy for the past few weeks. I definitely have lots to fill you guys in!
I took up a temp admin job in an insurance company and there are 2 reasons for this. One, because this is the period when my students want to take a break from their studies after their end of year exams and that will mean no income for me. I won't mind the no income part if I wasn't bearing a bank loan. Since I am, I have to source for income. Oh wells, I'm really taking this as gaining new experience, meeting new people and seeing new things. The second reason is that my current module which is Organisational Behaviour, basically about how people behave in different types of organisational management. So I thought it would be good if I'm actually in an organisation myself and see if I can apply my knowledge in real life. Come to think of it, it's a form of internship for me and on a even brighter note, my pay is higher than interns! =)
This week was especially busy because after I knocked off from work, I had to go either tuition (2 of my students are taking Olevel Emaths in advance) or school for class. And especially when your attendance is not forcibly compulsory, it really takes a lot of self-discipline to drag your blistered feet to class each time or to go for tuition instead of postponing the time slot. I'm so glad I did it anyway.
Taxi drivers. I took cab twice this month. First time was on my first day of work when I got lost in Shenton Way even though I was just one street away from my destination. But my work place is hard to locate if you don't know the street name. And the cab driver, who didn't know the place as well, took the effort to get down from the cab and asked the security guard of another building. Not only that, each time he stopped and tried figuring out how to get there, he paused the meter as well. So nice of him right! And when I alighted, the fare was $5.50 and he charged just $5 and said that 50 cents was his learning fee since he learnt something new. It was the best thing that occured to me that day because nasty, nasty things happened before that.
The second time was yesterday. After I knocked off at 6, I was supposed to reach AMK at 630pm for an appointment, so I took cab there. I was queueing in a taxi stand and so many cabs drove by and they chose the passengers to places where they can pick up more passengers. That's so unfair to us, people in the queue. So finally when I got into a cab, first thing I asked was,"How come nowadays cab drivers get to choose their passengers?" And from there, we chatted all the way to the destination and the driver was very polite and encouraging in a way. Or maybe I felt happy because he kept praising me. Hahahaha! But he was nice too and gave me discount on my cab fare.
Yup, I went to AMK to get my hair fixed actually. According to my classmate, my hair looked "interesting" and I thought it was just another way to say it's ugly and blasted. Hahahaha. Not because of her comment but I really think my hair was ugly and......temperamental. So, I pleased my hair by rebonding it. I don't like male hairstylist. Whenever they touch my hair, the hairs on my arms will stand. Literally. Hahahaha.
Alrights. That's about it. I guess everyone else is as busy as me as well. Be happy ya? =)
I miss him.
